Check out this article from the NYTimes on the value of preschool (and the way it is UNDER valued). First I was thinking of it in terms of our early childhood folks (shoutout to Rachelle and Haley!) but actually, I think it is really applicable to YDEV in general. The kind of skills and challenges that Kelly faces are the broad array of skills that most YDEVers take up, that we know are so important, and that society systematically undervalues. What do you think?
Hii Victoria, I get so intrigued with the information that you give to the class and how you deliver the information. It is so unfortunate that educators get such a bad reputation. We all work so hard to strive for greatness and make a change within our communities.
